I'm Lorie Ann Warren and I'm proud to be a RE/MAX Realtor.
I've been pursuing this career for a long while now (I won't say how long; a lady never tells how long she's been a realtor). Over those many years, I've learned a few things.
I've learned that to build a real estate business, you have to be true to people. There are all sorts of short-term tricks – overpricing homes, dodgy financing, things like that. And they work for some people in the short run. But if you're in it for the long haul, tell the truth.
I've learned that integrity will get you far. A strong moral compass will bring you success in life and in business. So I stick to my word. I don't promise what I can't deliver. But if I say I'm going to do something, I do it. Every time. It's a promise you can take to the bank.
But most of all I have learned that this real estate business is all about relationships. I have clients who, over many years, have bought and sold properties with me. They started out as clients and have become true friends.
Humphrey Bogart famously said in the film Casablanca "this could be the start of a beautiful friendship".
Today when I'm privileged to meet a new client I don't see it as a quick-and-easy real estate sale. I always think to myself "this could be the start of a great relationship".
